I once was talking to a man in a bar about life, changing times and dreams. He turned to me and said, "Well kid, we'll all get sorted out in the end." I went home and wrote this song. Sometimes you know when songs are going to write themselves and those moments you MUST get to nearest pen and tablet. Otherwise, that magic moment is gone forever.
The last line is in recognition of my Uncle Richard(Dick) Allison who toured with Johnny Cash in 1958, during the first Grand Ole' Opry road show.
