This melody came to me as I was walking home in the rain one night. I recorded it on my phone and that night I wrote it on my porch to the rhythm of the storm. It was uncontrollable, and it wrote itself. The lyrics are about being young, poor and free. Money was never a hinderance for us. We made our own happiness regardless of what we had to eat or the material items around us.
